Welcome back to the Two-Minute Wellness podcast. Today’s episode goes along with the last episode I did on no excuses meals so if you haven't listened to that episode, definitely go back and listen to that. But you can listen to this one first and then go back. They're not in any particular order. But I wanted to just chat a little bit more about how to eat healthy, even when your schedule gets crazy.

I know it's hard to prepare healthy meals and grocery shop when your schedule is super chaotic or stressful. So I wanted to just share some tips that have really helped me when my schedule gets crazy and that I think will really help you too.

We'll start with grocery shopping. My first tip is not to go grocery shopping. If you’re super overwhelmed, and you hate grocery shopping, and you don’t have time to do it, that’s ok! There are so many tools available to you that you can do all of your grocery shopping online. Most grocery stores will have delivery options. You can use Thrive Market, you have Amazon Fresh. There are so many options that can do that work for you. So grocery shopping should not be an issue that stands in the way of you eating healthy.

You can also do meal delivery services. Meal delivery is great. Most towns or cities will have a local meal delivery service, but there's also national ones like Factor or Daily Harvest that you can subscribe to, and you'll get healthy meals delivered to your doorstep every week, or every month, or however often you choose.

Next, if you choose to prepare your own meals, I like to prepare my meals in bulk. I personally don't love to meal prep because I don't really think it saves me time. It just makes me spend a lot of time on one day making my food. But I do like to make large batches of meals when I do cook so that I'm not cooking every single day of the week. So if I'm making grilled chicken and veggies, I'll just fill the grill up with a few chicken breasts and lots of veggies. So I can just reheat those throughout the week and have them without having to cook all over again. I also like to make things that I can repurpose throughout the week. So if I have like quinoa as a side one night, I'll make a big pot of quinoa and then I'll make a quinoa salad later in the week, or use it as a side again with something else.

So you're not just preparing a meal for one night. You're preparing enough that you can have leftovers.

So hopefully some of these tips resonated with you. There is no wrong answer. If you are using a meal delivery service, that’s completely okay. You don't have to cook to stay healthy. You don't have to grocery shop to stay healthy.

So make this easier on yourself, and use the resources you have available to you so you can continue on your healthy eating journey with way less stress and overwhelm.
