If you're trying to lose weight and you're tempted to go on a diet, or cut carbs, or go keto, or do intermittent fasting, trust me, I understand that feeling of desperation and just wanting the quickest fix. I totally get it. But I just want you to hear me out.

Because the way you lose weight is the way you'll have to keep it off, too.

Even if it's the most natural sounding way to lose weight! I did Weight Watchers, okay, and we just had to track what we ate, which seems innocent enough, right? Like they preach inclusivity of all foods, you just need to count the points and add it to your tracker.

But even that, in order to keep off the weight, you had to keep tracking. It didn't teach you to trust your body, it taught you to trust a tracker.

If you're going to do intermittent fasting, make sure that's something that you want to do forever. If you want to cut carbs, make sure that's a healthy and sustainable lifestyle choice for you.

But I have a hard time believing that anything that requires tracking, counting, restricting, limiting hours of eating - all of that - none of it is sustainable long term. None of it is really enjoyable to be completely honest.

So that's kind of the message I want everyone to hear. You can reach your goal weight. You can maintain your goal weight forever. Really! Without having to use so much mental space for worrying about food, thinking about food, thinking about your body weight, worrying about your self-image. That is so possible for you.

And I want that for you so badly.

If you're not really sure where to start and the only thing you know right now is MyFitnessPal, tracking, counting, intermittent fasting, keto. Like I completely get that. Those are what we're surrounded with and bombarded with every single day.

But there is another way and there's a better way.

And that's learning to listen to your body. It's eating foods that work really well for you. That feel really good. That taste really good.

It's moving your body in ways that also feel really good instead of just burning to earn. I call it burn to earn, but like burning the most calories so you can enjoy dessert. Like you can enjoy dessert without running a marathon.

This is all possible for you.

But if you're feeling really overwhelmed and you're feeling really stuck, just reach out to me. I would love to chat with you and work with you. You can find me on Instagram at @lianicolenutrition, and just send me a message, or you can reach out on the contact page of my website, that's lianicole.com. And I would love to chat with you.

Hopefully I hear from you soon!
