Pantry Makeover Series: Intro

ell-organized pantry with healthy food options, including grains, nuts, and jars, showcasing a neat and functional space for nutritious meal prep.

“Just tell me what to eat.” I hear this all the time from clients, friends, and family members. Well, here’s the post (or rather a series of posts) you’ve been waiting for!

Let’s start with the simple fact that we eat what we buy. If you stock your fridge and pantry with junk, then that’s what you’ll end up eating. I personally find that I have much more self-control in the grocery store than at home. If I can keep my grocery cart clear of sweets and packaged convenience items, I have way more success than if I bring them home (sometimes I swear I can actually hear the dark chocolate covered almonds calling my name from the freezer).

But changing what you eat all at once can be a little overwhelming, especially if you’re shopping for family members or significant others. That’s why I’m breaking up my Pantry Makeover Series into five parts:

  1. Grains, beans, nuts, and seeds

  2. Sauces, dressings, and condiments

  3. Healthy snacks

  4. Baking ingredients

  5. Herbs, spices, vinegars, and oils

Over the next five weeks, I’ll give you a sneak peek into my pantry and share the healthiest (and tastiest) options in each category.

I can’t wait to start sharing all my pantry staples with you!

P.S. I get a lot of my pantry items online at Thrive Market. Think of what it would be like if Amazon and Whole Foods had a baby… that’s Thrive Market! You get amazing deals on healthy food, non-toxic household items, safe skincare, and anything else you might need without ever leaving the house!
